Jasper Boerma (1969) setup his company ASPE GUITARS in The Netherlands in 1998 after a thorough study of designing, building, customizing, and repairing (bass) guitars. Before that he acquired a wealth of working experience at several music stores and guitar builders in the Netherlands. ASPE GUITARS is nowadays based in Extremadura, Spain, and produces both electric guitars as well as bass guitars.

When in September 2001 the guitar of U2's The Edge was handed in at ASPE GUITARS, many other famous guitarists followed. By now, Jasper has taken care of thousands of guitars and bass guitars and he has built dozens.
