Aspe
Guitars on TV about how to build an Aspe Guitar. The interview was shot
at Aspe Guitars. Februari 2003.
Bassmagazine
March 2002 (interview) :
"Bassmagazine March 2002 (interview) "Since January 2002 guitar
builder Jasper Boerma has enough space to run his company Aspe Guitars.
In the north of Arnhem he found a former store building. There he has
the opportunity to do what he likes most: building, repairing, tuning
and customizing guitars. Jasper has a great sense of humour, but when
it comes to building high quality (bass) guitars, he is a very serious
and conscientious man!"
Repetition
of TV show where Aspe Guitars was a guest. Januari 2002
Gitaarplus
(Dutch magazine) December 2001 (test) :
"The ASPE Basic humbucker is a guitar which is composed with the
best types of wood. And that's visible! The wonderfull red glow doesn't
hide the beautiful nirves from the body. The guitar has a good balance
and fits great at your lap. The weight is perfect, not to heavy and not
to light. The stable neck is a glued in the body construction." You
directly feel the whole guitar is one. The position of the knobs, the
frets and the head/neck are perfectly fixed.Once the guitar is on your
lap, you'll directly get a sound impression.
Beware: it is acoustic. The sound vibes through, and won't put out of
range. The whole instrument is vibrating! Once connected you'll get a
great kick! The cutting sound of the bridge pick-up is perfect for playing
solo guitar. From clean to picking, fingerpicking country and a little
bit of crunch, a very nice listening blues sound. The neck element sound
is unique. Principally the overdrive, which is really exciting! Builder
Jasper Boerma shows with this basic model professional sound quality combining
a terrific sound. And that's not exaggerated! "

"The sound from the ASPE bass is traditional, but perfect. No rising
sound, but one which is really good and continuous. Very warm, nice, deep
and smooth, with a little percussion touch. The sound's high, round and
rich. A real good and special bass guitar with a classical look and excellent
sound for such a low price!"
